After being fortunate enough to complete my articles at Wisewoulds in 2007, I commenced in the firm's Insurance Litigation area in March 2008. So far my focus has been on personal injury, public liability and property damage, though I have also contributed to general commercial litigation.
I completed a double degree in Arts and Law at Deakin University and being fiercely patriotic, majored in Australian Studies. Upon completion of the course, I was extremely keen to get out into the working world after several years full of lectures, exams and empty bank balances.
I joined Wisewoulds on a part-time basis in 2003, my second year of studying law. During that time I was involved mainly in the WorkCover area and gained a valuable introduction to litigation.
Articles at Wisewoulds was a challenging but extremely enjoyable introduction to my legal career. The firm offers Articled Clerks a wealth of support and education which helps make the transition from study to work as smooth as possible. During articles, I was involved in several of the firm's practice areas which provided exposure to a wide range of matters involving tax and superannuation, property, business law, professional negligence, trade practices law and intellectual property.
In my spare time, I listen to heaps of music, I enjoy going to the movies and catching up with friends over a drink and a bite to eat. I also really love sport. I play cricket for Kew during the summer months and over the years I have also played a fair bit of footy, tennis and basketball. I also spend every winter following my beloved Dees.
