Bibi Amidzic

Solicitor

I joined Wisewoulds in early 2008 having been admitted to practice in 2002 in both New South Wales and Victoria.

My legal career to date has spanned areas as disparate as criminal law (encompassing both prosecution and defence work), and estate planning and litigation. I gained valuable experience working on some high profile criminal matters in Western Australia, before moving to Melbourne.

In addition to maintaining my interest in criminal law, since moving to Melbourne, I have developed expertise in the areas of Succession Law and Elder Law, and in particular the following:

  • Wills & Estate Planning;
  • Administration of Deceased Estates;
  • Challenges to Wills;
  • Trust & Estate Litigation;
  • Asset Confiscation
  • Victorian Civil & Administrative Appeals Tribunal - Guardianship & Residential Tenancy List Applications
  • Powers of Attorney & Guardianship
  • Guardianship & Administration

I do much of my own appearance work and enjoy the challenge of having to think on my feet. My clients are largely private individuals and I think it's important that a firm as large and established as Wisewoulds continues to cater to private individuals in addition to its larger corporate entities and government bodies.

Prior to commencing my legal career, I worked as a chemist in the field of environmental chemistry, before moving into operations and quality systems management. I am a certified auditor of the ISO 9000 series of quality systems.

Despite being a relatively recent addition to the Wisewoulds team, I already feel like part of the furniture. Having worked in other law firms, I think I'm qualified to say that the Wisewoulds approach - namely delivering high quality legal services in a relaxed and supportive environment - is one which appears to well suit both lawyer and client.
