I act for WorkSafe Victoria, its various insurers, and insured employers in the defence of workers' serious injury applications, originating motions, and common law actions. Prior to this I had extensive experience in compensation recovery proceedings, in which we work closely with workers in suing liable third parties.
I completed a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (Political Science major) at the University of Melbourne in 1998 and a Master of Laws at Monash University in 2007.
I started my legal career as a Judge's Associate before handing in my robes and moving to Wisewoulds in 2000.
Outside of the law, an active toddler keeps me entertained and busy. I enjoy rare nights out at restaurants, movies or the theatre. I particularly like seeing classical ballet, having given up lessons a couple of years ago.
I have also been a director of a not-for-profit company called Waverley Industries Limited since 2005. The company employs approximately 200 people with disabilities. This gives me practical experience with an employer and provides an opportunity to contribute my knowledge of OH&S to the community.
